Planning & Development: Reception Theory

Reception theory is an extension of uses and gratifications theory. Reception analysis is based on the idea that no text has one single meaning. Instead it suggests that the individual members of the audience themselves help to create the meaning of the text. For example in our music video you could say that there is not one single meaning because some people could think that it is about a girl who is a drunk and goes to London to find herself then comes home and another person could say that she is a lost girl and listens to the song because she can relates but she doesn't want to change her ways. In my evaluation I will ask my audience at our showcase evening where we will show people our music video to see what meaning they get from the music video.

Development: First Rough shot of Editing

This is our first rough edit cuts of the music video whilst using the footage that we have captured so far. We used Premiere Pro to construct this video and we will continue to use that software in the continuation of this project. I hope you enjoy and please leave comments.

Development: Front cover of the digipack

As we have to produce as part of the curriculum we have to produce a digipack that consists of 16 pages so i've decided to start to begin my front cover for my digipack. This where I am so far in development stages. I used Adobe Photoshop which gave me full creative control in the layout as I am familiar with this applicattion and have utilized the software for 4 years.

I used the fz tool which add efects onto the layer, which is where I applied bevel emboss and a drop shadow so that the butterfly will stand out and be noticeable against the white background.
