Here are a few of the songs we watched in our group, to prepare for the upcoming pitch the following week:

Taylor Swift- Love story
Paramore- Emergency
Kings of Leon- Use somebody
The Script- Man who can't be moved
Demi Lovato- Skyscarper
Paramore- Decode
Initially we brainstormed songs that we all had interest in to do for our project, however we couldn't decide which song to choose from our list, so we individually looked on radio playlists e.g. kiss FM and Radio 1.
The research into the different radio playlists didn't really help us much so we brainstormed ideas of what type of genre we wanted to home in on. We thought songs that we weren't familiar with, in which we found out about Paramore when researching American rock bands. We thought it would be more of a challenge for us as a group to pick a genre we were not familiar with as it would also make us more dependent on research due to the fact we wouldn't know anything about that specific genre.
As a we were pressured for time and had to decide quickly on a specific song we started researching into Paramore's songs and decided to go with Emergency as the lyrics and fast tempo beat captured us. We are pitching our song Emergency and our concept to the song in our adaptation of the music video to our teachers tomorrow where we will include information about the songs narrative, the style guide, locations, costumes and audience research.
